Electrical Measurements

In addition to structural characterization, the lab has a variety of equipment to measure pertinent electrical properties, including ferroelectricity, capacitance and dielectric behaviors, and current-voltage-temperature relationships.

A, B) Ferroelectricity measurements: Ferroelectric characterization is performed by two tools that can perform ferroelectric hysteresis, retention, and fatigue tests. As shown above, they are Precision LC by Radiant Technologies. Inc: operating at 1 Hz - 2 kHz and Precision FH100 by Radiant Technologies. Inc: operating at 1kHz -1MHz.

C) Capacitance and dielectric measurements: HP 4284A Precision LCR meter operating at 20 Hz ~ 1 MHz measures capacitance and dielectric properties.

D) Probe station with a microscope: measurable to 25- µm dots, allowing for small electrical contacts.

E) Current-Voltage-Temperature measurements: Keithley 6517A Electrometer/High Resistance Meter (0 - 100V, 10 fA - 20 mA, 25 ° C - 400 ° C).
